Favourite Training Routes

The following provides a list of favourite training routes in and around Stonehaven and sometimes further afield.

If you have a favourite route you would like to share with other runners then please map it out using GMap Pedometer and then send the link to info@stonehavenrunningclub.co.uk

GMap Pedometer is a very useful online mapping tool where you can draw your route on a map and then save and share with other people. When you select the link you get a map of the USA (that's always the problem with all .com extensions!) to get to a more realistic location enter your postcode and  do a search! There are other applications that include mapping plus logging of training as well as social networking specific to running and health and fitness. Two of these sites that I know of are Fetch Everyone and Map My Run. If you know of others and you think other people would find them of interest then please send the details to info@stonehavenrunningclub.co.uk and we will add them to this page.

Be warned though that this route is hillier than you would expect (isn't every route in and around Stonehaven like that?) and is quite...

Glithno Route 7.5 Miles

Glithno Route 7.5 Miles This is a wonderful run and was the first part of the original Stonehaven half marathon. The route firstly goes up the Netherley Road and is very steep, and is also one of the reasons I am put off doing this run now as the traffic, especailly the trucks can be quite...
