2011 Xmas 5K Handicap
The 5K handicap race traditionally takes place on the Sunday between Christmas and New Year, but as there isn't a Sunday between Christmas and New Year this year it will take place on Tuesday 27th December.
The race starts at the Cowie Bridge then goes round Cowie, along the Beach Promenade, round Backies car park, back along the Promenade, round Cowie again and finishing at the Green Hut.

The idea of the handicap is that when you complete your entry form you state your expected time to complete the 5k distance. Those that state the longest time to complete will start first and then runners are set off after this at intervals depending on their completion time. In an ideal situation everyone would finish at exactly the same time.
The Entry fee is £2.50 and the closing date for entries is 19/12/09, there will be entry on the day but please make sure you arrive before 10.30.
